▶ Captures demand for replacing aging diesel equipment; secures order for 230 electric forklifts
▶ Utilizes high-performance batteries and monitoring systems, implementing a customer-tailored strategy
▶ Strengthens dealer network and service system to effectively target the Latin American market
HD Hyundai XiteSolution has secured a large-scale order for electric forklifts in the growing Latin American market.
The company announced on Monday, the 17th, that it has received an order for 230 electric forklifts from Empresas Polar, Venezuela's largest food company.
The order includes a total of 230 units—178 2-ton class electric forklifts and 52 electric forklifts in the 3-ton and 4.5-ton classes—which will be supplied to the local site by January 2026. Additionally, the company plans to participate in upcoming bids from the Empresas Polar.
Valued at over 10 billion won, this contract represents the largest electric forklift supply agreement that HD Hyundai XiteSolution has ever secured in Latin America.
This achievement is due to the company's early recognition of the growing demand for electrification in the region. They secured the order by proposing customized products to suit the specific work environment, strategically timing the replacement of the customer's outdated diesel forklifts, and leveraging their local service support.
HD Hyundai XiteSolution has equipped all forklifts with high-performance lithium-ion batteries designed to meet customer needs, offering approximately 2.5 times the lifespan and a charging speed 3 times faster than conventional lead-acid batteries. The company also incorporates the New Hi-Mate Folklift Fleet Management System, which enables real-time online monitoring of operational status, battery levels, and maintenance history.
Sales of HD Hyundai XiteSolution's material handling equipment in Latin America are showing steady growth, with this year's sales reaching around 1,200 units—more than double the 570 units sold in 2020.
An official from HD Hyundai XiteSolution stated, "We will proactively respond to the demand for electrification in key emerging market countries by strengthening our sales, service, and training systems based on our local dealer network.”
