HGS receives an Approval in Principle from Korean Register for Hi-GSP

Hyundai Global Service launched Hi-GSP
(Hyundai intelligent Greenhouse gas Solution Platform)
, a new product in response to the
greenhousegas
environmental regulation which has been prepared since the second half of last year, HGS was awarded an approval in principle
(AIP
) certificate on March 30 after conducting an evaluation of conceptual design by Korean Register (
KR
).
Hi-GSP is a solution for managing greenhouse gas emission during
onboard
and it does the same for
Hi4S
on shore. The system collects ship voyage data and provides all kinds of reports and control services on land.
Hi-GSP issues reports in OMM (Onboard Management Manual) format proposed by KR for SHaPoLi &
EPL
override history, and has a function to link reports or data related greenhouse gas with KR Gears for ship owners’ convenience, which is now developing. In addition, emergency response services is under discussion in line with KR's ISC (Integrated Survey Center).
A
digital
and
control
division of HGS said that Hi-GSP will be continuously upgraded to be suitable for both
newbuilding
and
retrofitting
and customer value will be realized through advanced digital platform to develop functions for
energy
efficiency
improvement
and
simplify
ship
management
of crews.
